This page will give you some instructions on how to register for this site and how to log in once you are registered.
When you first visit this site, you will see a menu at the top of the screen that looks similar to this:
This is the view on a computer. On a phone, you should see what’s affectionately referred to as the “hamburger menu” (3 lines in a box). Tap on that to get to the menu.
As noted in the picture above, use the Registration option to register as a user on this site. A screen will appear to accept your information. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). You will be allowed to set your own password. Please select a password that will not be easy to guess. We have been hit by hackers from literally around the world (Vietnam, Singapore, Europe and yes, Russia) so we don’t want to make it easy for them to get in. After you submit your information, you should receive an email confirmation which will also contain your password. If you don’t see it within a few minutes, check your Spam/Junk folder. Save this email as there is no way for us to retrieve your password.
We are approving new members to this site, so it may take a bit before you are approved. Once approved, you will get another email confirmation and be able to log into the site. At this point, use the Sign In link from the menu as pictured above. You will be greeted with a screen that resembles the following:
As specified in the picture, don’t use the Register link on this screen to sign up (unfortunately, there isn’t a way for us to remove this message and link).
After you sign in, the menu will change a bit to look like the following:
From here, you will have access to business/sale listings, the blog (a work in progress currently and not meant to replace the Let’s Trade Kentucky Substack), and the forum. The forum is basically a message board that functions similarly to the Signal chats. More on that later.
Right now we are approving all new sale/business listings, so if you use the Add Listing button at the top of the page, you can submit your item/service and it will be approved as soon as possible.
Regarding the forum – our goal is to make this site a welcoming place for liberty-minded people. Bad behavior will not be tolerated in the forum. Bad behavior includes insults, demeaning messages, arguments, and other things that degrade the user experience for our members.
